Hello my name is Kate and I’m an illustrator, designer and blogger based in Staffordshire UK. I work exclusively with pen and ink, putting nib to paper I create hatched illustrative wobbly representations of many things that catch my creative eye from nature’s findings to its feathered and furry tenants. I’m also a fellow blogger over at the Illustration friday blog so be sure to head over and check out some of my inky posts there aswell as many other inspirational articles ready to read.
I began my journey into my illustration career back in august 2013 when I joined the Speed plus scheme ran by Staffordshire University. Along the way I discovered my passion and love for blogging as well so I ran with it. More than anything through this blog I want to share my journey,experience,inspirations and illustratory doodles along the way as I make it happen and be who I want to be.
Other things I also love :
- Tasty brewed teas of all flavours ( particularly green tea)
- Woodland findings ( leaves, feathers, acorns and all that good stuff )
- Cute vintage decal ceramics & mugs ( preferrably with tea in them)
- Console RPG’s from the 90’s
- Papergoods & stationary ( even better recycled )
- Shabby chic decor
- Writing and doodling ( if you can’t tell)

I started out my journey as an illustrator this august gone by and am loving pursuing my aspirations and just really working on developing my illustration work. I used to be abit of a green fingers myself afew years ago growing my own vegetables and such from my home garden 🙂 I’ve followed you blog so look forward to reading more posts from you. Hi Kate, thanks for the like over at my place. I am bubbling with excitement at finding a blogger who loves to ‘doodle’ in such a beautiful way, is trying to get over the stresses of ‘not quite right, let’s rub it out, tear it out or let’s get over it. Hi rosie your more than welcome your illustrations are amazing so much detail the contrast between your inky line and the washes of toned colour is beautiful ( p.s I also noticed the little house at the bottom which looks like quite a lovely place to live 😉 . I love to doodle ever since I was small my mum would pin up endless pieces of paper for me to draw on for hours on end, yes I do in fact use unipin pens ( think they’re called uniball in the uk 🙂 and have an endless collection of them on my desk ( you never can have to many!). I’m just over at your blog and having a look at your last fussy drawing post 🙂 hehe , lovely to meet you I shall follow along as I can’t wait to see what inky posts you come up with next x kate
